Ghorepani Ghandruk trek is fairly easy and colorful one into the Annapurna region. Throughout the Ghorepani Ghandruk trek can enjoy spectacular mountains, dense forest with rhododendrons blossom in the spring and icy waterfalls which adds extra excitement in your trip.
Ghorepani Ghandruk trek offers magnificent view of Himalayas from Poon Hill. We trek through beautiful small villages inhabited by the Gurungs, Magars, thick rhododendron forests full of birds and deep sub-tropical valleys, all set below the Annapurna and Machapuchare Hamil. The stunning sunrise view on Mountains is the best view which is observed through Poon Hill when the sun touches the snow-capped summits Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Machapuchere, you will see magic, before your eyes. This is an easier trek that can be accomplished with experiencing ethnic culture and tradition.
Drive to Nayapul from Pokhara and you will start your trek to Ullery. At a 30minutes walk from Nayapul you will reach to Birethanti, here you have to show your trekking permit and TIMS in the National Park Office. We'll reach to Ullery (1950m) and stay overnight.
After having breakfast early in the morning, we'll have trek to Ghorepani (2850m). We'll walk through the jungle for( 4-5 hrs). Take a rest in Ban Thanti for 45min. Again we walk to Nange Thanti for (2hrs) and rest here for 45min. After that we'll reach Ghorepani within 1 and half hour and stay overnight.
Wakeup early in the morning. Hiking to Poon Hill to see the Sunrise view and Paradise views like Dhaulagiri & Annapurna's. After that we'll back to hotel to take a breakfast and start treks the trail climbs gently along the ridge with peak views through the trees that beckon you forward. We reach Tadapani, a typical tea-house village with mountain peak views obscured by afternoon clouds. For another hour through green forest and arrive at Tadapani and stay overnight.
The way through rhododendron misty forests to Tadapani possibly up to Ghandruk works mainly as a shortcut between Poon Hill and trekking trail to Annapurna base camp. You will enjoy here the views of the mountains mostly early in the morning, before the landscape veils into the misty clouds. But the views during the sunrise, however, are in Ghnadruk and Tadapani renowned. Walking this way is relatively demanding – you can expect frequent ascents and descents over muddy paths and endless staircases.
Finally, we finished our trek after descending to Phedi and drive back to Pokhara.
